Happy Birthday Dad!!

Today, I would like to make a special Happy Birthday post for my dad because, without him, I wouldn't be here!! Anyway, here are some of my favorite pictures of me and my dad over the years.  Love you Daddy and hope you had a great birthday!

I got the JOB!!!

Okay...so I got the internship, which is slightly different from a job, but I am still thrilled!! Five years ago, I never would have dreamed that anyone would pay me to play with styrofoam and glitter all day and go shopping for props for shows.  Now, here I am! Sarah Pierce, Props/Paint Intern for Florida Studio Theatre!! Not only am I working at a professional theatre, the theatre I am working at is in Sarasota, Florida!!  I will be living literally 10 minutes or less from the beach!!

Did I mention that Florida Studio theatre is in this beautiful view of Downtown Sarasota?

Yep, I am going to love this place!  Taylor has already said it's not fair...

Of course, I won't be acting for this internship, but I will definately be learning backstage skills that will keep me employed in the industry while I am acting so I don't end up waiting tables!  

Since this is my first entry, I do want to include some pictures of what I have been doing since graduation...

I have gotten a couple of professional extras gigs for HBO's Treme in New Orleans and met Anthony Anderson and Tim Robbins...

(Yes, my excited smile disguises the fact that I was as tired as Anthony on set past midnight)

(I would also like to thank Cafe du Monde for fueling my drives home at 3am and for satisfying my beignet obsession)

I have taken up photography as a bit of a hobby and a way to make quick cash...

(I call this one "Dog in a Bar on Bourbon")

...and sign with Victory University to play baseball for the next 2 years...

...spent time with my favorite baby boy, Bear...

...and, of course, pulling my hair out looking for a job!

So, now I am prepared to relax, enjoy time with my family, friends, and boyfriend before I move far far away! Hopefully, I will be able to visit friends in Hattiesburg before I leave for Sarasota, because I miss you all!  Until next time,
